Custom Railing
This is currently my largest fabrication project. The customer wanted railings for the stairs and balcony in their garage. Most of the post were recycled from an old factory nearby, but three additional ones for the stairs had to be fabricated, as there were not enough old ones for the project. The customer wanted a repurposed industrial feel to match the rest of the building. The bars were made from 5/8” round bar, which was cut to length and welded into place. This project took about a week to install.
Mailbox Repair
Someone backed into this client’s mailbox, breaking it in multiple places. Besides the scroll work, the actual metal bars which held the mailbox to the pole were broken in several places as well. It was very quick to repair, the whole job took less than 30 minutes to do, but the repairs should last for decades.
Gas Cylinder Trailer Rack
To be able to safely transport my gas cylinders to and from the welding supply store, and to job sites, I needed to build a rack for them. I built the rack out of 1” square tube, and firmly bolted it to the trailer’s frame. I designed it to be able to carry cylinders up to 8” in diameter. When I went to the welding supply to pick up some new bottles right after I built it, they said it was the most secure transport for cylinders they had seen all day!
